Nairobi Coffee Exchange (NCE)

The Nairobi Coffee Exchange is Kenya's official green coffee auction, located at the Coffee Board of Kenya in Nairobi. By law, all Kenyan coffee must pass through the NCE before export, creating price transparency and traceability. Coffee societies submit samples 1-2 weeks before auctions held weekly. International buyers - including European specialty importers - buy lots identified by factory, society, and cup score. The double-fermentation washed process and strict grading (AA, AB, PB) are verified through the NCE system.
